What is LRCA?
LRCA is an online database created in 2021 to house data related to lead accreditations, certificates, and enforcement. Lead paint service providers can log in to apply for accreditation and issue lead inspection certificates.
Do I need to register my rental property?
All pre-1978 rental properties are required to be registered and annually renewed under an owner-specific MDE Tracking Number. Properties built after 1977 or with a passing Lead Free certificate are exempt.
What types of lead inspection certificates are available?
Lead Free Certificate (valid 2 years), Limited Lead Free Certificate (valid 2 years, exterior lead paint only), and Risk Assessment Certificate.
